So you think you want to fletch? Are you a Karana or Tunare worshipper? Fletching has gotten a little easier over the years, but I don't think it's a cake walk for anyone who does not worship Tunare or Karana so that you have cultural arrows available for your high end options. But like I said, more options have been added over the years, so maybe it's not quite as bad as it used to be.
The first place to start is with one of the freebie quests offered in Crescent Reach or Abysmal Sea. This is one trade skill where you might actually want to consider doing the collect in Absymal Sea and learn how to refine a Chunk of Taelosian Rock and a Chunk of Discordian Rock in order to be able to make arrowheads from them. They provide an alternate path to 282 for fletching if you're able to also acquire the other two drops used in those arrows. However it isn't mandatory even if you want to use this path, the NPCs in Absymal Sea will refine the ingredients for you. If you're just looking for a really easy way to 54, then choose the Crescent Reach freebie.
Once you're gotten your skill to 54 with one of the above freebies, then head over the West Freeport and get the trophy quest from Event Coordinator Baublie Diggs. The lower the level task you get from her, the easier they are to complete. Your trophy will evolve with you as you continue to skill up.
Now that you have your Beginner Trophy, head over the EQ Traders Forums and check out the Trade skill guides for recommendations on viable paths to 300.
