Recipes - Spell Research - The Outer Brood

There are two new spells used to enchant the metal used in jewelcraft and a set of Tradeskilled containers to make augmentations.

You’ll need to get to farming gems if you’re interested in making the containers that are used to make the augmentations.

In weapon crafting, cut voidstone crystal combinations are plentiful, offering nearly countless options. However, when it comes to most runes, the requirements are far simpler. For the first couple of rune sets, you will only need a round-cut crystal. The distinction between these runes lies not in the crystal itself but in how it is crafted.

Every rune begins with the essentials: an etching tool and a rune binding stain. From there, the key to crafting lies in the rune tracings. The unique patterns of these tracings dictate the properties your crafted gem will possess. The combinations are as follows:

Impetus and Fortitude rune tracings

Adroitness and Finesse rune tracings

Acumen and Savvy rune tracings

Allure and Adroitness rune tracings

Adroitness and Impetus rune tracings

Allure and Impetus rune tracings

The second type of rune introduces a touch more complexity. To start, you will need to apply a second does of rune binding stain. Despite this added step, research into these runes has yet to uncover any new tracing combinations. For now, the most effective tracing patterns remain as follows:

Finesse, Adroitness, Fortitude, Acumen and Savvy rune tracings

Impetus, Finesse, Fortitude, Acumen and Savvy rune tracings

Impetus, Adroitness, Finesse, Acumen and Savvy rune tracings

A truly harmonious and balanced gem can be crafted by incorporating the Impetus, Adroitness, Finesse, Fortitude, Savvy, and Acumen rune tracings. These patterns work together seamlessly, creating a gem of remarkable equilibrium.

When the time comes to empower these gems, you have two excellent options. The fortitude focus of uprising is a strong choice, enhancing the gem’s stability and power. However, for optimal results, the gems seem to resonate best when infused with the heroic focus of heroism, achieving a level of brilliance and potency unmatched by other methods.
